This holiday home, originally a water mill constructed in the Middle Ages, is situated in a dip below the Abbey of Sant' Antimo just 5 minutes’ walk away. The small stream, which used to power the mill, is now the home of perky frogs. Through a thick sheet of glass in the floor of the large living/dining room you can see it flowing underneath the house. The secluded property is very well suited to travellers who wish to relax and be left alone, perhaps taking some long walks. During the warm months you can take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. Tuscan Villa Le Campane is a good base for eventful day trips to get to know southern Tuscany and its many interesting places - apart from the nearby wine town Montalcino there is also Montepulciano, Pienza and Siena. Lago Trasimeno, Florence and the Maremma with its coastline can also all be reached easily.
The natural stone vacation villa has been carefully restored. The rooms have the usual modern comforts and are tastefully furnished. The stone is visible on many of the internal walls.
