Villa La Lupaia is a spacious Tuscany villa oozing typical Tuscan flair, situated in a landscape whose beauty has been the scene of many a well-known film. Pienza is 9 km away. One kilometre away you can find Monticchiello, the old centre of which is completely intact. The picturesque little village is widely known for its interesting cultural life: the inhabitants produce a new play every year and perform it in the summer (www.teatropovero.it).
The grounds of the property are next to a quiet road leading to Monticchiello (see photo gallery). To enter the grounds of the property you go through a trellis gateway, then you find yourself in an entrance area, which is attractively decorated with cypress trees, lavender and other Mediterranean plants before you come to a paved courtyard. This courtyard stretches from the grand main house to a longish outbuilding, which has rooms and also a communal seating area, which is open to the courtyard. This very attractively designed part of the grounds is perfect for enjoying life in the fresh air and for fun dinners with family or dear friends. The pizza oven in the outbuilding is accessible only from the courtyard but it produces tasty dishes.
From this Tuscan villa you can enjoy the amazing panoramic view of Pienza on the horizon. This vacation villa is ideal for relaxing in seclusion. You can take a refreshing dip in the pool in the warm months. Outside there is plenty of room for children to play (large grassy area). Villa La Lupaia is a good base for eventful day trips to discover southern Tuscany with its many interesting places such as Montepulciano, Pienza or Siena. Lago Trasimeno, Florence and the Maremma Sea are, however, also within easy reach.
